What you are ordering

Mark your own truck or trailer unit ID with loose numbers in a truck lettering style. Reflective vinyl returns light towards headlights or a torch; it does not glow by itself. What is in the kitEach kit has four of every digit 0 to 9 (40 digits), enough for two sides when no digit appears more than twice per side, cut from solid vinyl and weeded, so only the characters come off the backing. Pick the lettering style, the letter height and the finish, and that is exactly what is cut.Sizes and prices Letter height Price 2 in $46.99 3 in $60.99 4 in $81.99 Letter height is the height of a capital letter. Prices are in Canadian dollars for one kit, shipping included in Canada.FinishesReflective black, reflective white, reflective red, reflective turquoise, reflective gold, reflective silver.ShippingFree tracked shipping anywhere in Canada. Add a kit to any other order and the kit is $7 off, since it ships in the same box. United States: $7.99.Where it worksSmooth painted truck panels, smooth trailer panels. Clean, smooth, dry painted metal, aluminium, glass or fibreglass. How to apply Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Run a strip of masking tape where the bottom of the characters should sit. Peel each character from the backing and press it on along the tape. Rub each one down firmly, then remove the tape. Want it already spaced out? Order custom truck decals, laid out for you.Other versions Truck & Trailer Fleet Unit Number Kit Truck & Trailer Fleet Unit Number Kit | Two-Kit Pack Rules worth knowingIn Ontario, every commercial motor vehicle must show the owner's name on both sides (Highway Traffic Act s.103(1)). This kit gives you the letters to do it yourself; you choose the wording, height and spacing. Want it laid out for you? Order the made-for-you lettering instead.QuestionsWhat exactly is in this pack?Four of every digit 0 to 9 (40 digits), enough for two sides when no digit appears more than twice per side. How many vehicles does one kit cover? It depends on the IDs and how many sides you mark. One kit has four of each digit. Unit 101 on two sides uses four 1s and two 0s, so it fits. Unit 111 on two sides needs six 1s, so one kit is short. The two-kit pack has four of each digit allocated to each vehicle; count both vehicles before ordering. Are letters or carrier prefixes included? This kit contains digits only. It is for your own fleet IDs, not a complete carrier marking set. For CVOR, USDOT or NSC prefix letters, choose the carrier door-number kit.Which height should I pick?2 inch suits a compact cab panel, 3 inch gives a larger unit ID, and 4 inch needs more clear trailer or body space. Measure your whole ID at the chosen height before fitting it.Can the two-kit pack have different finishes? Both kits use the same selected style, height and finish. For different choices, order two individual kits. How do I choose the size and spacing?Height means the capital-letter or digit height, not the width of a whole line. Width varies by character and style. Lay out every character on its backing and measure the full line with your chosen gaps before peeling. Leave room for door handles, seams and edges. The kit has no fixed spacing. What is included for fitting it?Loose, weeded characters on backing sheets. Transfer tape, a squeegee, cleaner and masking tape are not included. Arrange the characters yourself; this is not an already spaced line. How do I apply the characters straight?Start with a clean, smooth, dry surface. Check that your cleaner is safe for the finish and let it dry fully. Use removable masking tape as a guide, lay out the full line first, then apply each character and press it down firmly. Lift the guide carefully. Can I apply these in cold weather?Apply when the surface, vinyl and air are above 10 degrees Celsius. Bring the job into a warm, dry space and allow it to warm through. Do not apply over frost, moisture, wax or grease. Follow the supplied material instructions if they require warmer conditions. Will these stick to textured plastic or damaged paint? These are for smooth painted metal, aluminium, glass, fibreglass and suitable smooth rigid plastic. Textured plastic, flexible covers, chalky surfaces, flaking paint, rivets and deep seams need a different solution. Check a small area before fitting the full line. Can I remove them or move them later?Treat each character as a one-use decal. For removal, use gentle warmth and peel slowly. Test any adhesive remover in a hidden area first. Old paint may lift and sun-exposed surfaces may show an outline. Clean removal without marks is not promised. Can I mix sizes, colours or styles in one kit?One kit uses one selected style, height and finish throughout. For a mix, order separate kits. Letters, punctuation and logos are not included. What if I need more of one character?Count each character across every side you will mark before ordering. A fixed kit cannot substitute one character for another. Order another kit or choose the custom, already spaced option if the count does not cover your wording. Is registration or approval included? You supply your own valid numbers and wording. Buying lettering does not register a boat or vehicle, issue a number, or approve its markings. Check the rules for your vehicle and where it operates. What does shipping cost? The listed kit price includes tracked delivery in Canada, so a kit alone ships free. Add a kit to any other order and the kit is $7 off at checkout, since it ships in the same box. United States kit shipping is $7.99. Taxes are shown at checkout. Will it show up at night? This reflective finish returns light towards its source, such as headlights. It does not glow in total darkness. Colour, angle, distance and the surface behind it affect visibility; choose a contrasting colour.

Product questions

Before you check out

Will I see a proof before custom production?

This product ships as shown for configurations marked that way. Any custom text or artwork path receives a proof before production.

How do I measure the finished size?

Measure the full bounding box: the complete width and height of every line, logo, and gap in the finished layout.

Can I install it myself?

Many flat-panel and glass applications are suitable for careful self-installation. Larger or contoured graphics may need an experienced installer.

The kit contents and identifiers shown in the proof come from the options and details you approve. Verify every identifier before production.
